Default Honey as a binding agent?

I want to make my own treats using cereals, seeds, nuts, dried fruits etc. I plan to roll them into small balls. Could I use a small amount of honey to bind them together? I'm a little concerned about it being sticky and getting stuck in pouches, would putting it in the fridge help with that as it will crystallize? Thanks

I think it would be a little sticky and may get messy. It may be better to bake them after using egg and flour as a binder?

Mashed up banana works well as a binding agent, you can freeze them and then allow to thaw to make sure that they're stuck together.

Most manufactured `treats` of this type will be glued together using things like corn syrup or other similar binders and I never touch them. Honey is a no go because it`s too sticky It won`t harden and could cause the hamster great upset if it was to get coated inside the pouches. I wouldn`t risk it personally.

Thanks guys, I thought it seemed a bit risky. I'll stick to something like eggs & flour, or banana
