Default Advice please

Thanks to the lovely Jesselle who has pointed me in the right direction of changing my hamster's diets.
I am just wondering, do I take them straight of RR mix or slowly?

Here's what they used to have

Dwarf RR - Wispa (Hybird) and Twirl (Robo)

Syrian RR - Buttons and Galaxy (Syrians)

Along with the added Canary Seed mix, dried parsnips, oats, sunflower seeds, dried fruit (Not Wispa), mealworms, Mixed puffs, dried egg (from RR)
Also I have Pro c to their food, should i NOT do this? :/

Anyway here's what I was thinking to change it too :

Burgess Dwarf food - Wispa

Burgess dwarf + Harry Hamster - Twirl, Galaxy and Buttons.

Along with the stuff I added before. Is this okay?
Any extra and advice is really welcome and needed =)

I got some advice from a few people and decided on mixing the RR with some Harry hamster and burgess. Less than 1/3 of the mix is RR though. Think you will get a lot of different opinions on this though and it comes down to what you think is best when weighing all the advice up.

I did the change kind of... medium speed I did half and half RR mix/new mix for a couple of days, before changing completely. I know some people have had no issue changing mixes quickly, though.

If you're wanting more variety for Wispa, you might want to look in to JR farm (available on zooplus) and/or adding birdseed. (Watch out on the birdseed, though, most are really high in fat -- great for birds, not too great for hammies. Wilkos do a Finch one which has higher fibre and protein than fat, not something I've seen in most other birdseeds, and I know a lot of people use Trill budgie seed.) Both Burgess dwarf and JR farm I think have corn in, which Wispa can't have.

We changed a bit abruptly. We added stuff to the mix for a bit... And then new mixes arrived and we left any stores in cages but apart from that it became a quick change then. Worked fine for our lot

Thanks everyone =)

I did 1/3 RR and the rest HH along with added extra.

Kissa - I add Canary mix seeds to all their mixes. Didn't know what other bird seeds they can have but will look into the other two, thanks =)

How about the Pro C ? Should I be giving that every week?

I just ordered 3 bags of HH for my hams (1 syrian and 2 robos) and will mix that into what I currently have.

Er... I think its up to you. We aren't giving supplements but thats just because we don't want to. It probably won't hurt if you want to give it.
