Dried Mealworms
Is the dried Mealworms marketed towards wild birds suitable for hamsters?

Re: Dried Mealworms
I waas unsure about this as I could only find ones for wild birds, but pet shop said they are fine and all three of my hammies love them, no problems with poo or anything so far.

Re: Dried Mealworms
I didn't even know you could feed them mealworms!! To be honest I'm a bit reluctant to buy some as they'll gross me out!

Re: Dried Mealworms
I think a dried mealworm is a dried mealworm, regardless of whether it says they're for birds or not. Hammies like mealworms and most of the humans I know like 'em dried. If you give them to a hammy alive, you have to crush the worms head before giving it to hammy since the worms can bite the hammy. Soooooo, for me...it's dried all the way.

Re: Dried Mealworms
In shops around here we find the dried ones in little jars in the reptile/amphibian section (or you can ask employees for live ones, if you like).
Flower liked them (dried), but Carmelita ignores them.

My local p@h don't have any live or dried. But B and M sell them, but for wild birds.
