Hazel/Harry Hamster food's shelf life?

How long is a sealed bag of Hazel/Harry Hamster food good for? I am interested in buying a few bags online but hesitate because I don't know its shelf life. They would remain sealed in my treat/food cabinet until I have need of them in the future, which should be as soon as a couple of months or as long as three or four months.

I bought my 2 bags earlier this week and the date on it is April 2014

The Harry Hamster in the UK does have a use by date on the pack. I would ask them to send you packs with a long use by date on them. If you do then open them and there is something wrong you can still return them. Just be sure to use them before the date on the pack.

Wonder if freezing them would make a difference in preserving it?

I am sure it would help with any pests that might have sneaked into the mix, at the very least. Not that I've had problems with that in this particular brand.
