Default Syrian food

What food brand or mix do you guys feed your Syrians?
I've used the Syrian hamster mix from RatRations which they loved but wanted to know what my options are?

What are the important things that they need in their mix and is there any mixes that are no good?

Oooh nice blog post. I'll be perusing that.

Options for Syrians are decent and varied - not having to avoid things like corn etc.

The important thing for me is whether my hams like it and it has enough variety.
For example, they're not fans of the large pieces in Harry Hamster.
But most commercial mixes aren't as varied as I'd like.

My Syrian is currently on a 50:50 mix if pets at home premium and Trixie Natur Futter.
The p@h premium has nice small pieces, has chicken-flavoured biscuits that's go down well and includes some seeds and hay. The German food adds beetroot biscuits, more meaty biscuits, large chunks of millet spray (rather than tiny seeds) and extra seeds (sunflower/pumpkin etc). I then add in small amounts of buckwheat and oats.
With fruit and veg and treats like cooked pasta and baby food, I'm confident that she gets everything she needs and isn't bored.

I have only had my hamster since Thursday and have been feeding her Burgess Supahamster. Unfortunately she is selective feeding with this and leaving all the red & green bits so am going to try her on Harry Hamster if I can find somewhere that sells it. Supermarkets just seem to sell Wagg and if hamster Wagg is as bad as dog Wagg.....

Yeah I think verity is a big thing for my hammies too as there are seven little ones growing up and they all seem to pick out different things.

Never thought of baby good before, that would be interesting. What baby foods?

I feed Woody Harry Hamster and Syrian hamster mix with apple from Ratrations so he has more variety.
