For a second there I thought it was called Woody Harry Hamter and googled it then realised Woody is your hamster's name HA HA I'm so silly!

I have been hearing a lot of good things about the Harry Hamter stuff and think I will give that ago. It seems to be pretty cheap too

They are on the Syrian mix from RatRations at the moment but wanted to try them on something else to see what my options are and so I know what food I should get if I run out and don't have enough to last me till I can next order some.

I use Silvers Mixes for my Syrian and my Dwarfie but then I get mousey food, vitamins treats and substrate from there too so it works out great for me

Harry Hamster is one of the best commercial mixes I think

Thanks Hannah

I have Silver's Syrian mix at the moment but it's a pain to get it ordered as it's so expensive to delivery and I end up buying so much to make up for it!

I will see if they sell Harry Hamster in my local pet shop, would be nice to know I can get it with out ordering it just for future reference.

Anyone planning to switch to a new hamster food: just be sure to do it slow, mixing in a new food with the old. It can happen that a hammy loves the new food and you can go with that, but many hammies don't like complete food changes all at once. Babies learn which foods to eat by learning from mama. That's why it's important to have the same food as whatever your new hammy was eating before you got him/her, then slowly introduce new foods if you choose to go with another type. I actually use two types mixed together. This way, if I cannot get both, I know Patches will eat one or the other until I can get the missing one again.

They love it as a treat
Just check the ingredients list for anything they can't have I.e onion.
I avoid the fruity ones as its just unnecessary extra sugar, but chicken ones go down well.
