Question Bananas?

I am a huge banana lover and wondering is it safe to give my hamsters either fresh or dried bananas?

Yeah bananas are safe. I give my Syrians a wee piece whenever I'm eating one and they either love it, or want nothing to do with it. Just depends on the hamster! I have been giving my lovelies bananas for years and it's caused no issues. But just because it's safe doesn't mean they will like it! x

I do the same, they love it!

All mine have loved banana, both fresh and dried. I don't give it to the Hybrids obviously because bananas are high in sugar, but for robos and Syrians a little piece is fine. x

That's good as my rabbit loves banana (very occasionally and only a small amount, don't worry!) so I can give some to the hams too. I bet my baby Syrians would love some since it is soft and easy to chew. I hate bananas but my boyfriend is a banana-holic so we ALWAYS have them in the house! It's funny that in 12 years of keeping/breeding Syrians, I have never given banana! I usually just give apple, carrot, pear, cheese, seeds and nuts etc. Thanks
