Hamster popcorn!
I don't believe how dim I am sometimes! I have bought and still buy micro pop sticks (mini dried corn kernel) and have only just read the instructions telling how to pop it in the microwave to make pop corn!! Seriously I don't know who was more excited?!'me at popping it and marvelling at mini popcorn or the hamsters who got a piece :0).

Re: Hamster popcorn!
Looks great
Stupid question - is there any difference between that and normal human stuff? I have a bag of popping corn, it's the plain stuff you do yourself (I make my own toffee sauce for it, it's great ), could I do a few pieces for Luna?

Re: Hamster popcorn!
I'm pretty sure you can just use normal popping corn, as long as you don't add any flavourings or sugar/salt etc!

Re: Hamster popcorn!
Absolutely correct cathface! Human popcorn works the same, but plain without sugar or salt .. Hammies love it.. It's my hammies 2nd favourite treat, their first being a juicy mung bean lol s

Re: Hamster popcorn!
After they have all gone can you put them back in the microwave and pop the unpopped ones?
Also, is popcorn fatty for them?

Re: Hamster popcorn!
You know, Buttercup actually prefers them only half popped! She seems to be more excited about getting them when only the center is popped.
My gerbils prefer them not popped at all. They make for great chews, too, as they can chew on the cob when they're done.
I don't think it's that fattening. Since it's given to them completely plain.
