Talking nothing like home baking

..for the hammies!!

YUMMY.. for the hammys anyway XD

After scouring pets at home for anything good for my chinese, i decided i would bake some myself she can have.
I used
-bonio dog biscuits, broken down into small bits
-a few basil leaves chopped in
-sunflower seeds
-mealworms (some in half, some i rubbed to break small)
-porridge oats (plain)
-some of her burgess dwarf mix
-3 medium eggs to stick it together

mixed everything into a bowl, and placed on some non stick baking trays,
baked at 200 for about 20 mins, it smelled really good!

I am letting them cool off, then freezing the left over ones for another day, the big ones are for the syrians, and because i ran out of space to do little ones.
Testing them tonight to see what they think

oOH that's brilliant! I've been looking for a treat like that which would be suitable for a chinese, as my syrian LOVES them and I feel like I'm leaving Bubble out
I'll be making these at the weekend fo sure!

eleanor: hehe you should! of all mine my chinese is streight on it (syrians are asking to come out XD)

you can change the ingredients to anything they can eat, the egg and oats hold it together, and the crushed mealworms, but you dont have to use them XD
i found the dog biscuits hard to break XD
I want to try making them an egg flapjack next time, with hidden seeds and bits inside! XD

i made the cookies between a 1-2 coin size, so if its not eaten i can take it away before its gone bad, i put the rest in a tub in the freezer
I hope you enjoy making them!!

They look great!
I can't bake anything because we don't have a kitchen for a few days but when I'm allowed to use it I'll be making these and experimenting with some stuff

amy: it dosnt take long to make, I done mine as my mum cooked dinner so i poped them in when the food came out, i will have lots of fun trying out different things too

eleanor: i hope the syrians will like them, fred has gone fussy with honey sticks, so hopefully this will stop it xD
i just have a large pot and only my chinese eats them, so i thought ild use some up hehe, itl be fine without the mealworms
when i make it, i will let you know, itl be the same idea as this, just based with oats and egg, then pop things in

these seem to have been a success the boys took theirs downstairs to their houses! nancy has add all but 1/4 of her big one, she left it on top to show me she eats it XD
sko shi has had a nice nibble on the edges, only about 1/4 of the whole thing.
my sisters aurora ate all hers in one night, and shard had eaten well over half by the 2nd day XD
