Question Beaphar banana nibbly bitz

Has anyone tryed these? Was thinking about getting these for Millie.

Product Description
Beaphar Banana Nibbly Bitz
Made from chunky slices of banana dipped in honey, these Nibbly Bitz are a good source of energy for small animals during the colder months. Simply sprinkle a pinch over your pet's food to help bring variety to the daily diet and the natural chewing action needed to break down Nibbly Bitz helps to keep teeth in good condition. Suitable for all small animals

Can I just check if Millie is a Syrian? If so then I see no problem with giving them to her in moderation.

If she's not a Syrian, then don't use them.

I'm not that keen on them, if they were just dried banana, I'd have no problem, but dipped in honey too? So much sugar! Think little kid able to crunch on one of those giant lolly pops!

You can't deny them everything tasty. Poor buggers don't live that long so as a treat now and then a bit of honey is not going to be an issue.

Just because syrians are not 'prone' to diabetes, doesn't mean they cannot get it. I'd rather give hamsters other treats.

And since Stacey asked for opinions, I was giving my opinion.

it sounds like an ok treat to me - given in moderation like yogies as long as it's safe, it's fun to spoil them here and then i made nine little treat bags yesterday for halloween for my hams...i used kleenex, and tied them with it as well. inside was a hamsteroid, peanut in its shell, some veggie puffs and a cheese yogie - they had so much fun tearing into them - and most took the whole treat baginto their nests to open it lol

As I was giving mine....and seriously now, it's incredibly rare for a Syrian Hamster to get diabetes. SERIOUSLY rare.

I bet your hammy will love them! ild prob only give one or two bits a week, just in case, but my syrians have always had honey made chew sticks and never had any problem I was going to make my own using banana, seeds, dog biccies and honey, but it may be too much for them XD
