Default How often do your hammies get "other" food?

How often do you give your hamsters "other" foods? By this I mean food which is not their dry mix (or dog biscuits etc)..

Mine all get stuff daily but I'm wondering if it's too much? They love it and are always waiting but I know a lot of places recommend no more than a few times a week...

Soo..just wondering what people do? Also what do you feed?

Ours get it daily as well Jane ...I just can't resist giving them a treat

However I am careful what I give. Five times a week it's either a small piece of fresh veg (ie pepper, courgette, carrot, corn, cabbage) or porrige and the other two nights I give a tiny piece of chicken or egg. I rarely give shop bought treats.

Thanks Yeah, mine hardly ever get shop treats either. The only treats I buy now are from the naturals range and they have them very rarely still. I guess I feed about the same as you and they love it so I guess it's okay Thankies.

Daily for me too - a little variety does no harm and as you say - they love it!
