Treats
Can Syrian hamsters have citris? I know they can have cheerios, peas, lettuce, carrots, water melon, etc. I even heard somewhere that they can have un-buttered un-salted popcorn! If anyone sees anything, tell me.

Re: Treats
Nuuuu. Citrus is bad for hamsters. I'd be careful with watermelon and carrot as well. But that's just me being overly cautious

Re: Treats
All of my boys love a popcorn string I buy cheap unpopped unflavoured corn kernals put them in a big glass bowl with a loose fitting lid and pop in the microwave. Then for the rats I thread the corn onto string or tie it into paper bags for them to work for. I have even scattered it across the top cage bars so they have to pull it through. Greyjoy gets one or two pieces when I do a batch hidden somewhere for him to dig up. I avoid giving it to the gerbils as I have one gerbil who is on the chunky side and cannot have treats.
