Don`t worry. Alfalfa or grass pellets are just fibre anyway. You can ditch them and add something else like dry oats, buckwheat, millet, plain puffed rice. Wholegrains are best. If you can get Kallo organic puffed rice in Canada this is very good. If not, be careful with breakfast cereals as they nearly all contain sugars.

Hazel Hamster is fine as your base, so adding in these other ingredients will be beneficial. Just tap the larger extruded biscuits in the Hazel Hamster mix up a bit as they can be syrian hamster sized!
