Default Tesco Seed Mix

What do we think of it for hams?
Tesco Whole foods Seed Mix

I bought it thinking it was just a seed mix. But the soya sauce mentioned in the ingredients is coated on all the seeds (tastes good for humans) but not sure if it's okay for hams. I tried giving Sen a seed last night (and she LOVES seeds) and she sniffed and ignored it until later when she realised it was food lol.

I couldn't find anything online about hammies and soya beans. :/

Soya Sauce (also known as Soy Sauce) is VERY salty so I don't think it will be too good for hamsters.

Yes, good idea - it's best to buy a popular hamster-style food mix, like Bephar's or Harry Hamster. They measure exactly how many calories a hamster should have - the problem about your mix is it could make your hammie very obese with the seeds!

Oh it's not a hamster food, it's a treat (well that's what I bought it for). Just a mix of seeds to feed her when she's being good (obv not too many). Had they not been coated in soy it would have been fine. I've got pumpkin and sunflower seeds to give to her anyway I was just trying to find some variety of treats as I prefer natural treats to things like the yogo or choco drops.

Have you thought of dari cob? they sell them on zooplus, they're a bit expensive, but my chinese hamster loves them =] alfie isn't too keen, but sandy loves them too.. They're quite good for the forage instinct too as they have to pull the seed bit out of a little natural shell,
They're like 8 inches tall too (or 6..my size perception is bad) so they're suprisingly large =]

Yeh I do have dari cob. But Sen just eats/stores everything all at once (would take her about 2 hours to empty an entire corn on the cob), so I just tear off lil branches of the dari and hide it in her cage

Yeah, that's what my mum does (also, because she's scared of hamsters so wouldn't be able to go in and take the whole cob back out)
Last time I came back from being away I found Sesames cage covered in little dari branches, because my mum spoils them all so much >.<
I put the cob into sesames cage and let her take as much as she can in a few minutes, it's so cute seeing her with her pouches stuffed full
