Farleys rusks?
Has anyone ever fed their hamsters rusks. My hamster has recently had a litter and i know you are meant to feed them milky foods each day. So i was just wondering whether you could feed them a bit of a rusk soaked in milk as they absorb the milk very well.

Re: Farleys rusks?
I was told rusks were fine for them, as they have very little/nothing extra added, I tried them with mine dry and they weren't interested, but with milk I'm sure they'd love them
I think they're fine though.

Re: Farleys rusks?
I'm not sure of the ingredients of Rusks but they must be pretty plain as they are intended for babies.

Re: Farleys rusks?
Hi,
which type of Farley's Rusks??
If it is the 'original' Farley's Rusks, they are loaded with sugar!

Re: Farleys rusks?
hi again, I think the 2nd ingredient on the 'Ingredient's List' is sugar (which means it is a high proportion!).
Can't begin to wonder how Farley's still hold a licence to produce these rusks for human babies, when the sugar is just so bad for them?

Re: Farleys rusks?
Do you have any brown bread? I know you can dip it in milk to feed pregnant/nursing mums.

Re: Farleys rusks?
Weetabix or porridge oats soaked in milk would also be a great alternative

Cooked chicken, baby food and mealworms are good too as they are full of protein.
