Default Hamsters running away from her sister

So I have two female winter white hamsters, ones name is Nashiro and the other is Kurona (Tokyo Ghoul name hehe) and this is actually my first time having two hamsters instead of one. Just a few hours ago I think the two got into a fight and Nashiro ran to her corner and luckily Kurona did not chase her. A few hours later Nashiro woke up and was eating on her food bowl. Kurona woke up a little later and when Kurona approached the food bowl, Nashiro just ran off and hid in her corner again like she was scared of Kurona and again, Kurona did not chase her or anything. Is this normal behaviour? When do I seperate them? I only got them 2 weeks and the pet shop doesn't know how old they are, they just told me they're a few months old.

Winter whites are quite solitary so shouldn’t be together at all really, especially if they’re already fighting this early on. they do notoriously badly in pairs and will often fall out as they mature. Best not leave it too late as you cannot watch them 24/7, fights can be really serious. Once separated they will be happier in their own space, just leave them to get used to life alone for a bit. No joint play time or anything either so once they’re split then they remain that way.

This is quite normal but it does mean you will need to separate them, I wouldn't wait for things to escalate any more, even without fighting both hamsters will be getting stressed which can damage their health & as mangoandmimi said you can't watch them all the time to see if they do fight.
Hamsters live much more happily alone in their own territory so don't worry about separating them.

I see, I guess it's better having them alone. I bought them both because I know that dwarf hamsters can live in pairs but I'll just stick with one next time! Anyways, the sad news is that both did get into a fight and Nashiro was the one that got bitten on her belly. Luckily she stopped bleeding but I am keeping track on whether or not she's eating or drinking. Ever since she got bitten, she just started snapping at me, but I guess she's just traumatized that she became like that. Thank you so much for the advice! Will make sure not to do that again.

Sorry to hear that Nashiro was bitten, she's bound to be upset for a while & may be in pain, just give her time to settle down on her own now & she should get her confidence back, keep an eye on the bite too just in case it needs any treatment.
