Default Meet Maia!

I wasn't really planning on taking in another hamster on such short notice.

William has been here for just a week but then...Maia crossed my path. The name just came to me the moment she (or he, we're not sure) arrived. I just hated how she was being kept and it wasn't far from my hometown.

She has been put up for sale multiple times now in the last few months. But nobody really seemed to be interested. M, whom I got Will from, contacted the people and picked her up today. She told me she was shocked and mad at how the poor thing was being kept.

Stuck in a corner on the floor and nameless, inside a Paula cage. Being only fed sunflower seeds! We weighed Maia, and she is about 50 grams. Does she look skinny? How can I fatten her up a bit? I've been giving her Bunny Traum expert food for now and a small piece of vegetable.

Temperament wise seems to be fine. Doesn't scream, bite or act overly stressed. She's tame and we handled her just for weighing and putting her in her new cage. (A Ferplast Mary) She absolutely loves her new wheel and the sandbath.
I also noticed how she started immediately started to stuff het cheeks, she seemed famished!

I provided her with lots of hiding places in the meanwhie but for now I will let her adjust.

Seems to be an Agouti WW. Hybrid or not?
