Fur Changing Color
Hi!
So I adopted 2 Winter White Dwarf hamsters from my local pet smart and adore them endlessly. I have noticed that my one, Toast (brown back, white belly, black strip down her spine) has began to turn white. I see a little white patch in the middle of her back that was not there before.
I know WW are meant to turn white in the winter sometimes but its June! I was just wondering why this may be and if it cause for concern.

Re: Fur Changing Color
I don't think it's anything to worry about I had alighter guy that got lighter over the summer. He was a sort of muddy white when we got him in the Winter and by August he was completely white

Re: Fur Changing Color
They won't be pure WW but Russian hybrids (WW/Campbell's cross) & most change colour to some extent over their lives but not in the seasonal WW way, definitely nothing to be concerned about.
