Question Any tips on WW Taming?

Want to start taming soon, Luna's a WW Hybrid I got from Petsmart a week ago. She comes to my call and lets me hold her but only if she want's too.

I haven't given her any treats as I never have em on hand when she comes to me. The time's I have tried treats she didn't seem that interested.
She's also pretty zippy when I hold her, she hasn't bitten either but she does sometime wanna bite my finger when I let her sniff threw the cage.

What would be a good way to start her taming? And are there any tips for WW Hybrids specifically when it comes to taming?

What treats have you tried?
Small bits of veg are good, broccoli is a favourite usually, other good taming treats are seeds, sunflower, pumpkin, hemp, flax & millet sprays, and mealworms.
Keep some treats in a small pot by the cage or something so you have them handy if she comes out when you're not prepared.
If she lets you hold her then you're doing well already, they are fast & young hams don't often want to spend that much time being held or cuddled they want to be running around doing things!
You might find it easier to use a playpen so you can sit with her & let her run around you, climb over you & get more used to being handled, just go slow with handling, let her get used to being on your hands for short periods & then handling will get easier.
Biting your finger when she's sniffing through the cage is just normal exploratory behaviour they soon learn hands aren't food but she may be expecting food or treats when you do that.

I've used cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds she doesn't care for them that much but will eat then for normal meals. I'll try the other foods encase though she may just be picky lol.

I'm happy she's ok with playing on my hand though I can't go near her nest usually when shes asleep, I think that's normal though yeah? Would it be okay to try the bathtub method as well? I own a cat who marks the floor a lot.

Thank you so much for your reassurance and for the advice ; w ;!! I'll be sure to grab something for her treats~!

You could use the bath, put a towel in & the plug! I think it's better to be in the bath for taming with dwarf hams as the space even with toys can be a bit overwhelming for them otherwise.
Very unusual for a Russian not to like those seeds but try mealworms if you haven't already, if she doesn't like those I really will be surprised.

Getting upset or stressed if you go near her nest is totally normal.

Oh wonderful, I'll try the bathtub method as I go along with her taming, just need to see which foods she'll love I guess Luna's pretty picky ^^;
Though thank you, I'm glad she's not doing it out of spite or something <:3

I think spite is a human thing not a hamster thing!

Just a tip for the bathtub taming most hamsters will try to escape out the bath by climbing out of it (which is impossible because it's a flat surface) But, when they are distracted I slip my hand underneath and help them up this makes them see you as a good thing rather than a threat
