Introducing the new guys
Ham-dad had a fews days holiday last weekend so we wondered about the possibility of going to the show at Lymm and perhaps getting a winter white from a breeder.
It was all organised and we were going to collect two from Lilliput Hamstery at the show. It was an 8 hour round trip but it was worth it
They are not brothers but their birthdays are only 4 days apart and they are coming up for 7 weeks old
One is a normal and one is sapphire. We struggled on names before we went down, and had a list of Russian names to continue the theme but nothing seemed right. When we were driving back home in the car I was looking at their birth certificates with all their anscestors names on it and reading them out. Ham-dad immediately decided he like Spartacus (he was the little normal’s great great Grandad, who was a champion) and we settled on Snapdragon after the little sapphire’s great great great Grandad.
Snapdragon seems to be the more outgoing of the two and loves climbing all over us and is happy to be picked up. Spartacus seems less sure at the moment preferring to screech at us from the safety of his cage but it’s still early days. I haven’t been able to get many pictures yet but here is a few of them on the way home.
