Thank you so much AP, ladyntramp002, Crystal, Ruth, Burakki, Lizzy and Cypher.

We have now had 3 nights in a row where he hasn't screeched at us yay. He still won't take treats from us when he's out his cage but will take them once he is back in, but very cautiously. Consistency is the key I guess though so we'll keep going, he seems to enjoy having a shoe box that he can jump in to when he's out if he starts to feel a bit nervous so thank you Fluffagrams for that suggestion

AP, he would screech at us once we got close to him when we were gently rustling the bedding, out would pop his tiny little nose and he'd start, perhaps he could join Master Harvey's orchestra too lol.

Crystal, you're right I never said but no they are not living together. We thought about it and they travelled home in the travel carrier together (we did have the other carrier with us in case) but Sparky was a bit greedy with the cucumber and despite the fact that it was bigger than him decided to lie and sleep on top of it to stop Snappy getting to it. Then when we put another bit cucumber in he went and tried to keep that for himself too lol. We decided then that if he was being that greedy over a huge bit cucumber they would be better on their own lol.

Good to hear the screeching has stopped. Fingers crossed it’s gone for good now. Sounds as though he is starting to get used to you. I suppose it must be very disorienting to be handled by people who smell completely different to their breeder.

Lovely to hear that Spartacus is feel more comfortable being around you and has stopped screeching at you!. Also such sweet photos of him to - he has such lovely markings and colouring!

Dreamtree - Wow, I just noticed this thread today. When you posted it, I wasn't on HC much at the time due to family visiting. BP, congrats on adding spunky Spartacus and sweet Snapdragon to your lovely hamily. I know that both you and hamdad must be so extremely excited, and I am so very, VERY happy for you both and your six hammies. You are all so lucky to have each other to love and cherish. I love Sparky's striking markings and Snappy's unusual coloring (like subtle, blue slate). Their names are great, too. I think it's lovely that they have such different personalities, too. I strongly believe that it makes life all the more interesting and fun. I am so happy that Snappy is already so tame and Sparky is coming along, too. I look forward to following their thread and seeing all of their cuteness and charm. Great pics, too!!!!

Psst! Are you there Sparky and Snappy? It's me, Eros! I think you are great, and I can't wait to have you come to my hamparty at my new hideout. We'll have such a great time with all of the other hammies at HC! Sparky, save your lovely voice for Master Harvey's orchestra. The screech is a wonderful addition there, but your hammum and hamdad may get concerned if you use it on them. They love you so much so keep gaining confidence in being held and letting them give you tons of hand-fed treats. Snappy, be sure to keep up with the sweetness; I'm sure it will score points with wrapping the two-leggeds' large paws around your tiny ones. TTFN and high-fours to you, Eros

Great progress with Sparty, bless him being a bit wary accepting treats out of cage, maybe because it's in the open but with his cage it's his security and he knows should he accept a treat, he can hide it and be able to go it whenever he wants.

I'm pleased to report that there has been no more screeching from Sparky. He seems to be getting more used to the playpen but not sure he really likes it all that much. We're still having to gently wake him up so that we can interact with him, so he tends to spend a while just sitting in a box grooming when he goes in the playpen before he investigates.

Snappy is still the more busy of the two but he really doesn't seem all that keen on the playpen. Prefering to climb around on us.

Neither seem bothered to pick up any tasty treats we put in the playpen and ignore them which I'm finding a bit strange

I'm glad to hear that Sparky has stopped his screeching

My word, Snappy is cute! That broccoli must be bigger than his head! The flying saucer video is very funny. His little white feet scrambling about lol.

Not all hams are that food orientated especially when things are still quite new but maybe they'll get more interested in finding the playpen treats with time.
I do love it when they just want to climb all over you, probably more fun that running around in a playpen
Snappy does look a little bit cautious still in his playpen vid but he seems to be happy enough having a little explore.

The saucer one is so funny, sorry Snappy I know I shouldn't laugh at you but I just can't help myself Maybe he has extra soft fur on his feet & can't stop sliding about!

I know we have chatted om Insta, but just got to say on here how utterly adorable Sparky and Snappy are, I had considered a non Syrian when pip passed but there where only Syrians available her in Peterborough.
I think Boris,Pasha, Jaska and Artie have some competition on there hands with these two.
The videos are excellent and very chuckle worthy indeed..
