Hamster Has Lumps
Hello all! I wanted to let y'all know that this post is about my brother's hamster before I get started.
So, my brother has a few hamsters as I do. The hamster escaped at some point in time by climbing up his water bottle holder. *which had a water bottle in it* I was messing around on my computer when my cats and dog started acting weird, like they were on a hunt for something. I could tell since my dog did the same thing when my Syrian hamster chewed out of his bin cage. I started looking but found nothing. After a couple more minutes my dog lunged towards something.. I looked and saw a white fluffball standing very still on the ground. Luckily, my dog didn't bite the hamster but licked her so she had no wounds. I thought she was dead until I saw her head move just a bit. I caught her and put her in a different cage as my brother was taking a shower when all of this happened.
Here's the very quick summary, the hamster escaped, was caught, then put back in her cage. However, there are a few lumps on her. I've tried figuring it out through google but have found nothing so far. I will be looking out for wet tail as she probably got VERY stressed. I'll try and keep y'all updated. The lumps are small and around her face and sides.

Re: Hamster Has Lumps
I probably won’t be much help here, unfortunately, but I’ll do my best. Some pictures would really help. I don’t see how the lumps could have been caused either by your dog licking her or by wet tail. You say they are on her face and sides. Is it possible that she picked up some things on the floor and they are now stuck in her pouches? If in doubt, I would suggest going to the vet.

Like AP said, a photo would really help. It's hard for us to determine anything as we're not qualified vets, but it's even tougher when it's just a description on the internet. There's no harm in bringing her to the vet anyways as although outwardly she may appear fine, a dog bite can cause internal damage which you can't see. Hope all is okay

She's actually doing perfectly fine as the lumps have gone away. Sorry I didn't add pictures, I was in major panic. Thank you for the replies!! Her cage has been secured

What I was trying to say was wet tail can be caused by stress, since she had many animals surrounding her and on a hunt for her once she escaped, it could've cause it. Since hamsters don't really understand that a dog licking is a show of affection, she may have percieved it differently. I honestly have no idea what the lumps were caused by, but, they're gone and that's what matters
