Default Winter White Taming

I got my winter white last Friday, and began taming him on Tuesday. I am taking it very slow with him but already he is comfortable with sitting on my hands when I have food and is fine with me petting him.
Is this normal, as I know dwarf hamsters tend to be harder to tame and to gain their trust? He is two months old and lives on his own.

If your hamster is comfortable with it, then it's perfectly fine. However, make sure to still take it slow and don't push him past his comfort zone. Some hamsters are tame almost immediately, while others may never fully tame down so it depends on each hamster as an individual. Enjoy your little one and remain patient, persistent, and calm!

I've found Russian hybrids to mostly be quick to come to me & take treats soon comfortably sitting on my hand, you don't have to stick to a schedule or plan, just go at your own hams pace, don't rush things but don't hold back if your ham is keen either.

If you got your ham from a pet shop rather than a breeder then your ham will be a Russian hybrid, if that's the case take care over diet & avoid sugars or fruit as they are prone to diabetes, if he's a pure WW from a breeder then no need to worry.

There's nothing wrong with having a super tame hamster in such a short space of time. Every ham is different. For example, my WW, Jasper, was happy to be picked up on Day 2.
Good luck with taming
