Good news about Oreo's ear

As Cypher says, hang on to your sanity and hope the weekend goes well!

Hope you have a great weekend.

You met piggiepigpigs!!! awesome. I have ordered the blue sailing boat cup thingy for my two (and a cupcake one). It matches a liner that I made for them.

Sounds like the nurse doesnt have any people skills (ie she is a b****).

Hope LJs tummy is back to its normal clean state very soon.

I always enjoy your threads, ramble away all you like. You are clearly an awesome pet owner.

Hope your mum is recovering ok from her op.

Department of Environment Hamsterita Oops no it's not - it's Duke of Edinburgh award LOL! Just read it in context in the message. I'm sure Chesca will tell you about it - it's a good thing to do!

Right guys, I've only just had a minute to sit down and reply, so I'm sorry about that. Clever me left myself a Geography and History assessment to complete this week

I will fill you guys in a bit later on my weekend and pet updates because I have volunteering in 20 minutes

Thanks . I met PiggiePigPigs last year as well . I think we got the same sailing print then . Jasper is fine lol, I think I over reacted . That's very kind of you , my Mum is feeling a lot better, thanks. It was only minor surgery.

Thank you . Serendipity is right! - It's the Duke of Edinburgh's Award. You have to do 3 months of a skill, exercise, volunteering (hence why I am working at the vet) and complete the Expedition. I did my practice expedition last week - it went well .

WOW It sounds like an important award!! I'm happy for you. When you have more time I really would like to know more about it

I thought that maybe it was a silly question but I'm glad that it wasn't so silly lol

Thank you

I finally have a spare minute to update my ramble and rant threat .

So DoFE went well last weekend and it was super fun. We may not have finished first, but we got lost a couple of times (yay) and people kept getting injured. In the end, I walked around 16 miles over two days with a very heavy bag.

On the first day, my group got paired up with another group and we had quite a lot of fun and made a lot of hilarious jokes. On the second day, we walked in our separate groups, but kept bumping into that other group. At the campsite, we had to put up our own tents and cook our own dinner over these special camping stoves.

I don't really know how to explain the whole thing, as we were mainly walking. I really enjoyed the experience (one of the few who did) and I didn't get injured at all (yay!). I can't wait for the final assessed expedition, which is in a few weeks. Unfortunately, my best friend has decided to drop out of the assessed expedition for medical reasons, but our group didn't end up being the bad. The group were quite grateful for my navigation skills .

I don't have any Jasper updates as I haven't seen him since Saturday, but I should see him this Sunday as I'm staying over at my Dad's then. I saw some puppy photos yesterday of the litter we are hopefully getting a dog from. They are at the cutest stage at the moment, but I probably won't get to see them until next week. I imagine we are choosing a dog next weekend, fingers crossed . If we are definitely getting a dog, I might move Jasper to my Mum's while the puppy settles in and is being trained, so the dog doesn't upset Jasper at all.

The guinea pigs are all well (finally) and quite happy in their cage. Hopefully the cage liners are almost ready to be posted and I really want them to come in time for Oreo's birthday. That reminds me, Oreo's birthday is the 31st May (approximately when he was born) so I have started saving toys up for birthday presents. I'm not going all out like I did with Jasper, as Oreo has had a lot of Christmas', Birthdays and Adoption Anniversaries already. I can't believe my piggy will be 6! So far, I have a Piggie Dig for his birthday and some small things, but I know what he will love (and always does). There's a chew toy of a selection of different balls which are made of different chewable materials, which he alsways goes crazy for. For Pemba's birthday, I am going to get some treats, a couple of chew toys and I'm saving a Carrot Cottage, which I got at The London Pet Show.

I'm all rambled out lol.

Surprisingly, yesterday, the vets were nice to me. Maybe they felt guilty. Anyway, one more volunteering session to go!

Thank you . Lol! Of course I will post photos when I get the puppy. I'm not that cruel . We have decided on a name, but I'm not sharing that yet , but it starts with an 'H' and is quite unusual. It fits the theme that Harvey, my Dad's Girlfriend's dog, was named after as well.

How exciting! Puppies are such fun, but they're sooo much work. I have a puppy currently and she's absolutely psychotic Definitely looking forward to all the pictures you'll have of him/her!
