So sorry to hear about your Grandad Chesca that must be really hard for you and your family.

Jasper sounds like great entertainment, better than the tv anyway lol.

. I've had really good news. It seems to be a miracle, but my Grandad is doing so much better. Apparently he is now eating, drinking and consciously talking which is wonderful. I haven't spoken to my Dad today though, but he's probably sleeping (he's been doing the night watches) but hopefully I can find out more later. I think I might get to visit him this weekend, which I'm excited about, because a few days ago we didn't think he'd make it to this week and now he seems to be recovering so well

You'll be pleased to read I have a nice, long rambling update.

My Grandad is still recovering, but everything is optimistic, so I won't go into too much detail. He's been moved into a better rehabilitation hospital where he can get the specialist care he needs.

Jasper has been doing well. He's as cute as ever. It was his one year adoptiversary on the 12th June last week! I completely forgot because I'm just so used to having him now and because the time has honestly flown. I did get him a new climbing frame on Saturday which hopefully he likes.

I ordered him a new batch of food the other day, so hopefully that will arrive soon. I will attach the link to his mix when I am on my laptop, as it is not working at the moment. I'm very happy with this mix as it has a lot of Jasper's favourite things in, but I've tried to balance it out. It's not perfect, but I'd rather know what he's actually eating rather than guessing what he's leaving.

The guinea pigs are all doing well and we haven't had any health issues in a while, which is good (my elderly piggie Oreo has a weak immune system and gets poorly often

). We've changed them onto fleece bedding rather than Fitch and they seem to really enjoy it (they make cute little squeaking noises when they walk on it lol). It's very fun on my part as I get to pick up all their poop and put it in a bag, while Pemba tries to chew my shoes. Silly piggie!

In other news, I'm getting my puppy THIS FRIDAY! I'm so excited lol. I've visited him three times so far, but I can't see him again until Friday, when we bring him home. We've also finally agreed on a name. Drum roll please: duh duh duh

Hermes!

I really like the name and I think it suits him. I prefer more unusual names for my pets as I like them to be unique. We've named him after the Greek God and the brand NOT the delivery company.

I went shopping for all his stuff on Saturday. We just need to find Harvey's puppy crate and then we're all set for the dog. I made sure to get lots of different high quality training treats and high quality toys (both pose risks for certain dogs and certain toys can certainly harm Labradors (oh look how many times I can use 'certain' lol)). I also got a red collar, extendable lead (until I can let him off the lead properly) and a slip lead. I got some white VetBed as that is supposed to be excellent for little puppies and we got a food bowl, water bowl and a water bowl that attaches to the crate (so it can't be spilled). I got to choose the little ID tag for the collar and we've had that engraved for Hermes. I almost forgot, we got a spare fluffy blanket for the crate and some puppy pads for training, although he's almost completely toilet trained already. Everything else, we already have, like poop bags and a brush.

I have my assessed DofE expedition on Sunday and Monday so I'm quite excited for that again. I've learned that if you have low expectations, everything seems better lol. I had my end of year exams last week. I think I did quite well and I am aiming for top set next year. Hopefully, I will get most of my results back this week. I also have a school trip coming up. I get to go to another country for abut 2 and a half weeks during which I won't be able to go on the forum

. I will tell, you guys when I am going away so I won't be active then. My Mum is caring for the piggies as usual, but she is going away for a week when I'm away, so I'm really nervous about leaving the piggies as I won't have regular access to my phone (my school is very strict and take your phone away for most of the day) so I can't check on them. My Dad is looking after Jasper and the puppy and I, not so worried about them as I know they are both every healthy and young.
