Update on me: I know it's been a very long while since I've posted. This is gonna be a long update.
I have been in and out of the hospital for the past three weeks.
I went in through the ER, with a fever, they diagnosed me with Sepsis, i was admitted.

I think it was the next day, I can't really remember, I was on 4 broad range antibiotic, they did a spinal tap and the doctor i botched it, so I was leaking spinal fluid for a week while on top of THAT I got a virus, much like the flu but MUCH WORSE! I also had spinal headaches because my brain was sagging on my skull, with no cerebrospinal spinal fluid around it to support it. I was discharged, having spent 5 days in the hospital.

Note: My nurses were pretty nice. However, I was not bathed until day 4. My bedding had not been changed. I, having been bedridden while there (I couldn't stand up or even sit up, I would start vomiting and I would pass out. I also had a heart monitor on as I was Tachycardiac) and I had 2 ivs, one in each arm with 3 hook ups used on each. All anitbiotics, pain meds, and fluids. plus every 4 hours I would get torridol and Zofran. Pain and nausea meds. I was hooked up to all kinds of monitors so it would take about 10 minutes to just unhook me from everything so I could try to stand up. Like I said, my bedding hadn't been changed, I had not been bathed or been allowed to shower, I was too sick to do that even with help, my hair had not been washed, the first night I was there, a cup of strawberry ice cream had fallen off my tray when bumped. And darn it it was good ice cream! Day 5 when I was as discharged, still very very sick and throwing up, the ice cream was still on the floor.
The next week or so I had to go Back to another hospital, one out of town in bel air, the spinal headaches hadn't stopped and I was still leaking cerebrospinal spinal fluid into my body. I needed a blood patch, much like an epidural instead they take blood from your arm and immediately inject it through the spinal needle directly next to your spinal cord.

The first time I was sedated and given fentanyl. By the way, hell of a drug. The anaestheologist could not get the needle where see needed to, I started to get sick and almost pass out ( I was sedated but I was in a sitting position with my knees curled up) so she had to pull out and get everything anew with a new sterile kit and everything. Starting over took about 20 minutes, the sedation had kind of worn off, and I was now much more aware of what was happening. This is super painful and even sedated I saw screaming and yelling in pain.

Well, we got all of it done, and now I'm mostly back to normal, still a little back pain, I still have to be careful I don't do anything too agressive, I could still blow the blood patch that's healing my spinal cord.
It's been hell and I've really missed you guys! Selling is doing fine, Aurora is her mean self, and shadow is doing very well.

What have I missed?

And on top of all that, my job fired me. I had repeatedly called them, stating that my doctor did not want me going back to work. With good reason. I was so sick I couldn't even open my eyes! They said I had voluntarily abandoned my position.

Bullcrap, yes , I know. And I've already went back and tried to fight for it back but they said they put me in the system as a rehire, so in 90 days I can go back and if they have a spot open I can go back to work. I have another job that I pretty much have in the bag, they are just wrapping up the paperwork with VERY GOOD pay and excellent benefits so I've heard, that would be good for me.

So hopefully all goes well

Blimey Cujo, you've been to hell and back. I've heard of people dying from it. So glad you're recovering. I hate hospitals and the longest I spent in one was almost 5 weeks. The hospital I was in was short staffed, staff not trained properly and well the NHS has gotten worse since.
Fingers crossed you won't be back in hospital.
That's awful your work firing you, any excuse not to pay you or pay sick pay.
Fingers crossed this new job works out well. You deserve some good news and happiness.
Good to have you back.
