Update: Last two days Chloe has made a nest in a corner of her cage for the first time in 2 1/2 years. She always sleeps in her ceramic house so this is new behavior.
Lately she is repeating licking the side of her food dish. She won't stop until I go over & distract her. She is fixated on licking the same spot.
Then she licks her bendy bridge now that she has stripped all the bark off from on top & underneath it.
She licked a lower spot of her bridge then stood up & liked a higher part of the bendy bridge. She has a eye that's bigger than the other, it's been suggested a long time ago that it could be a tumor behind the eye pressing against the brain causing neurological problems.
I think that what this is but when I distract her,she runs in her wheel. I wonder if making a new nest after all this time means her time is running short?
She isn't in any pain, weighs 35 gm, eating & drinking good. Looking old now
