He is about 3 months old (I think). He loves to be handled and cuddled but does not like hands in his cage, so I always let him climb into a tube, cup, or hideout to bring him out to play.

Ptolemy got up earlier then normal tonight, so we got longer playtime in! He loves exploring my desk; climbing the shelves, crawling into the drawers and trying to figure out how the mouse works are a few of his current interests.

After having Ptolemy longer and continuing to work on hand taming, I have decided he is very fickle! One day he will run over and jump into my hand for cuddles and attention, and the next I get bared teeth and angry chatter. Tonight I was spot cleaning and feeding him when he came over and rubbed against my finger, so I started stroking him. After a few strokes he jumped at my hand and bit me, not very hard but definitely a warning. Not sure what triggered it other then my hand being in his cage. Keep in mind this is all behavior in his cage, he is a sweetheart and super social once he is out.

I also realized he is not a fan of the plastic toys and hideouts. Tonight he was all macho hammy attacking and anger chattering at all the plastic items in his playpen. Oh the drama! Looks like all natural items for Mister Picky!
