As for the cage cypher, I currently have him in a Carefresh Dwarf Hamster starter kit. I like the cage I just wish there was a much much bigger version of it. It is way too small for me, if i was him id be biting me too for keeping him in something so small! I have attatched tubes, but he doesnt go in them much so they might be going back to the store, but then i'd have a gaping hole in the top from the punch out piece from where the tubes were. So they have to stay for now. Looking at getting a bin and turning it into a cage.

(Sorry for the triple post but i promise I'll dump everything into this one.)
So as for pictures, i will definitley figure out how to post pictures in this thread, ill take some today and post some that i have already taken. He is very fast so lots of them have a little bit of blur to them, ill try to get some clearer ones for you guys. My Avatar pic is a pic of Cujo, that's him in his little ball,(we had to use the ball as a transportation cage on the couple of trips back and forth to the pet store,(we now have a proper carrier) i felt terrible about it, but we couldn't leave him alone in the house, didn't(and don't) trust my current house mates.) As soon as I can figure out how to post pics and videos you guys will have all of them Now, to food. Ive been wanting to get this off my chest. At the petstore, they fed him Oxbow Healthy Handfuls Hamster food. But they haven't had any in stock since I got Cujo. As soon as I get it, I will be mixing it with the VitaKraft VitaSmart Complete Nutrition I currently have in his bowl. I have been giving him just the kibble part because he will only eat the oats and seeds, I could feed him just what he has been eating out of it, but I am worried that it would be unhealthy for him. Vet Stuff, I have found a vet that treats small animals, I need to take him for a full check up and to possibly get his nails trimmed. He's turning into Wolverine. I am calling them as soon as i put this post up. I want to make sure hes as healthy and happy as he can possibly be! Update on the vet, Cujo has an appointment on the 15th bright and early in the morning for a complete wellness check up and to get his nails trimmed.

You are right, the Carefresh Dwarf Hamster Starter Kit is too small and making him a bin cage is an excellent idea! Don't worry though, I started off with a starter kit as well that was too small, as soon as I realized that and had the funds to buy bigger I bought a 20 gallon long tank which I love. As for the pictures when you go to write a post make sure you are in the advanced part. When you go to make a "quick reply" at the bottom instead of pressing "post quick reply" click "go advanced" and that will take you to another page with more options. There will be an attachments link, its the shape of a paper clip. Click on that and a tiny little side page should pop up. Click on the browse option and it will take you to your photos (if you are on your computer, if not you may have to do some investigation work to find the proper folder in your device) Once you've chosen your photo click the upload option beside the browse option. Wait a few seconds until you see the uploaded file name just under it. Then scroll down a bit and click exit window. Write your post then hit enter a few times to bring your cursor down a few spaces. Hit the Attachment option again and the uploaded picture name should pop up. A weird thing will come up and the attachment name will be in between it. Leave it alone, don't mess with the name or it will not work. And even though the photo is not seen on the post then, when you post the post it will appear.

Both those foods are good foods. For Dwarfs the recommended daily amount of food to be given is one tablespoon a day, and unlimited amount if younger than 6 months. If he is picking though his Vita Kraft Vita Smart food than don't refill his bowl with the seeds part until he has eaten some of the pellets to make sure that he's getting the right nutritional balance in him. That or just go right to the one tablespoon a day, maybe a tablespoon and a half because he is still young. Then just watch to make sure he doesn't empty his food bowl completely. If he is just add a bit of food because he is only a baby and still growing. Then good luck at the vets!

He most definitely is totally adorable! Love the shots of him sitting in his wheel
The cage may well be causing the biting, if it's too small they are more inclined to get territorial & bite, if you can make a bin cage I expect he will do better.

He certainly is adorable! That little face There is a section on here 'Feeding and Nutrition' or you can start your own thread on what to feed a dwarf hamster in the US and that might give a few ideas for supplements too. You can supplement his feed with things like the occasional monkey nut, veggies, cheese, half a brazil nut, a small piece of cooked chicken or beef left from your dinner! No gravy though.

He's super cute, good for you for giving him a home! I wish you luck in all of your adventures to come with the little guy! It's kind of funny reading your story - my very first pet was a hamster (and I have had them off and on over the years since). I'm glad you are finally able to have one of your own - they really are so much fun! This one sounds like it was meant to be.

So, daily update on Cujo. He was very sleepy yesterday, and wasn't that active until last night. I swear, while Danny and i were sleeping, someone put a live wire to hum. He just wouldn't stop moving. Today was the first thunderstorm since i got Cujo, and i think he has thunderstorm anxiety. He was sound asleep, and we got a really loud clap of thunder and he started running like crazy around his cage. The storm has passed and now he is calm again. Will try to start posting a picture a day minimum for you guys. I'm still trying to figure out how to get them to post upright and larger, Danny is helping me out with that. Thank you for the good wishes RememberWhen, im making the best of everyday I have with Cujo.
