Oh my! Why can't I have a hamster who tells me she has to go potty? That is amazing! Although I'd prefer if she used Morse code or something else rather than biting me as her hint that she needs to toilet. My Almond got better about the biting as he got older, so maybe Yuki will too. She's a lovely little thing.

A hamster who let's you know when she's about to wee is one clever ham.
She might be a biter but she's so pretty and adorable.

I know right. Today whilst I was taking photos of her on one of my pillows, she suddenly went hyper started to bite me. I thought that I maybe stressed her out too much and put her back in the cage. You wanna know what happened? Yep, she went to wee in her spot xD I can't believe I have a hamster who refuses to wee anywhere else other than her cage spot and will hold it in 'til I put her back in the cage.

Also, I caught her sleeping on her food bowl few times. I managed to snap a photo of that with my phone. How is that even comfortable? XD



She also seems to be rather logical about her wee spot. It's right next to the water bottle. It's like she's thinking, it's gonna be wet there anyway so why not wee exactly there and have just one wet spot in the cage. :P Or maybe it's just my imagination running wild.

Also I have a question and if your hamsters are doing it.
Yuki tends to squeal whilst sleeping. It's like short waves of squeals. The second she wakes up, she stops. Could she be constantly dreaming because it has been happening at least once every day for the last few months?
She's not in pain, it's just something she started doing and the only answer I have to why she's doing it is because she's having bad dreams.

She's not making those noises when awake and she seems to be in good health. Her fur is fine (she had problems with fur loss around her chest area her entire life far as it would go back and forth to being full and poor) and she runs regularly in her wheel.
She definitely is the most strangest hamster I've had so far.

Squeaking or squealing in their sleep is quite normal, I've only had one hybrid who doesn't do it so I find him quite weird lol!
As long as she's otherwise fine it's nothing to worry about, I find it endearing tbh!

It's really funny how hamsters usually love digging and require lots of bedding and Yuki's all like nah it's too hot *moves entire bedding away from her sleeping point and sleeps on bare plastic*

I've been going through this thread remembering Yuki.
I really wish hamsters lived much much longer.

Yuki was a hamster with a personality similar to my own. I miss my angry fluffbutt. Still can't believe she's gone.

Oh Azula, you didn't close this thread you just made it possible for her to be remembered forever by new and old members on HC. This thread really brought out her little fursonality, and ruling demands LOL. Photos are how she will never leave us but remain for many years to come as that super posing beautiful little Pearl Sapphire fluffball.

Yuki always gave us that Winter White facial expression in every photo she had of her. She loved to pose and thought of herself as Queen Yuki. She gave all on HC a true sense of what it is to be owned by a Dwarf hamster.
