Hi everyone,
I have a beautiful pair of breeding pure winter whites. I decided to breeder pure winter white as I want to show and continue a pure breed, I believe this to be of upmost importance to keep pure and healthy winter whites continuing.
I think my usual advisor is away at the moment so thought I could pick someone else's brain, I hope you don't mind?
I have had my first beautiful and so rewarding litter of 7 babies. As advised dad was left in with mum and they have both reared the babies from birth. Both have done incredibly well. In fact dad was more attentetive than mum which surprised me greatly. I knew leaving Dad in would most likely result in a further litter, of which will be their last.
My question is the 3 week mark has arrived and mum is looking quite rounded. I have separated her, just, from the dad and young ones as I do not want to risk her or the other family members. Will she be ok by herself, or should I attempt to put in, which I believe are, the female young ones? At just over three weeks of age I am not 100% confident in sexing. But Jessie's welfare is of the upmost importance to me and I do not want her, her young ones or possible 2nd litter to be distressed in anyway?
Any advise is most welcome and very much appreciated.
I look forward to hearing from you all
