Default Winter White in Winter Coat

I have been reading the posts on this forum and noticed a few people had asked about seeing pictures of ww's in winter coats. Here are a few pictures of my oldest ww, Blue in his winter coat:

This is Blue with his partner at the time (now sadly passed away). They are both the same colour really!!! Honey didnt change at all, I think because she just had a litter when Blue started to change. This picture shows Blue at his 'whitest'.

Blue is now coming out of his winter coat and looks mottled!

And another of him coming out of his winter coat.

So far he is the only ww of mine to change colour. My other pairs have even continued to breed throughout winter! In these photos he would be about 6 months old. He is now approaching the age of two years next month.

Hope you like the photos anyways.

Default Winter Coat

Oh they are brilliant

thank you so much for sharing

This winter we had no full changes only some partials - which didn't stop them having babies - a few years back when snow lay thick on the ground for weeks on end I would have no breeding for nearly three months and what looked liked cages of Pearls

We just don't seem to get blackouts anymore, too many street lights and the moon seems to be getting closer

It is amazing how quickly the nights have drawn in - all of my Winter Whites are showing signs of going into Winter coat (which isn't good with a show at the end of the month) It is virtually dark at 6 o'clock. Autumn officially commenced on 22nd September and the clocks change soon... British Summer Time lasts from the last Sunday in March until the last Sunday in October the UK. I hate this time of year I go to work in the dark and come home in the dark

Off to buy some new daylight stimulator light bulbs tomorrow...
