Arhhhh! Beau is changing colour!!!

Little Joe isn't, so this is him as a comparison - they used to be identical in colour




Why is he changing colour so late in the winter - I would've thought it'd be a waste of time seeing as though he has to put his summer outfit back on in a few months!!!

Ah they are both going into winter coat. There is no rhyme or reason with them when they change coat. I know breeders who have some who go in winter coat all summer and summer all winter! It is a delicate balance and small changes in temperature or hormones or something else can tip them into a change. I imagine it is the separation that has done it. Don't worry. I think they look very pretty. Even pearls can go into winter coat as the winter one feels more sort of thick and wooly. Some never change at all and some pop back and forth. They can do it quite quikly too.

My Turner hasn't and they are a LOT lighter than he is, I kind of wish he would!
