Default How much millet to add to food?

I have two little Robos (about 9wks old) - I understand they need seed added to their diet and I have given them one or two millet 'bunches' from sprays - they seem to love this. I would like to know how much/how often I should give them this?

Thanks

Mine almost always have a millet spray on the go, I also add a few pinches of trill birdseed to their hamster mix a few times a week.

Just bear in mind that seeds are quite fatty - which may be fine for some hams in moderation, but others may be prone to getting fat - one of my boys did get quite chubby, but limiting the seeds in his diet and not giving the extras slimmed him down.

The other main difference with diet between robos and other hamsters is protein - robos benefit from higher protein, some people say it reduces aggression. Protein treats can be things like cottage cheese, cheese, egg, small pieces of ham or cooked chicken, tuna (not in brine or oil) etc.

My Robo loves millet! When I have it on hand I regularly place a small piece in his cage for him. I haven’t really looked into how much they /should/ get, I just offer some when its there, snipping off many a one inch piece at a time. It’s definitely his favorite treat!
