The boredom breaker mats for a start. Like you, i use them on the inside of the cages to keep the substrate and sand in. The platform you gave the link for is now in a few cages and Clarissa has a boot like Comet has which the little minx has modified and added another entrance to.

Thanks, I think he is handleable in that I can check him over and do health checks, but he doesn't like it as he freezes, so I won't be doing it more than necessary. He just likes ot do his own thing, so I pretty much leave him to it and get to watch his cuteness.
