Re: Help please
I'm late to this party but curious how things are going with Ninja? I still have about 30 posts to catch up on so you may have already answered that. I was thinking the same as Maker with the tissue trick, maybe after a few days with just your smell you could include a seed in the tissue so she starts to associate your smell with "good things."
Although on that same topic I believe my hamster just sees me as a food dispenser so my hands are at risk of a nip even if they are washed of all smells & totally empty.

Re: Help please
Dont worry so much about it, I would give your hamster more space, they usually need time to get used to the new environment. Giving treats by hand (hold it in your fingers, not on the palm) may be a way for your hamster to associate you with something they like. I would wait a but longer, and get some sleep. Your hamster probably wakes up late because they know you are asleep and nothing is a danger to them. Hamsters are usually prey and have tons of predators in the wild. Your hamster may see you as a predator if your spying on them and dont give them space and a reason to trust you. Dont worry, if you have any more questions dont be afraid to ask!
yours truly,
Anjalina
