Question Taming a robo hamster

Hi guys

I have a male Robo (his name is Huesito) I got almost three weeks ago. He is about three months old, the cutest thing I've ever seen however, I am really struggling to tame him.

I have heard that Robos are the hardest to tame but I fell in love with him the minute I saw him, did so much research that he just felt like the right fit for me. I am really trying to be patient but I feel like I have hit a hurdle with him.

I started by holding out a treat with the tips of my fingers and he would take it. I did that for a week and then carefully moved on to putting his seed mix or treats inside my hand so he would eat them from it and he bit me. I looked into that and it was my mistake bc the scent of the food was on my fingers so now I rub his bedding on my hands before trying and he hasn't bit me since.

I tried "bathtub-taming" in a box (we don't have a tub) but he jumped out after the 5th day I put him in and I don't want him to escape again.

today I got him to eat sitting next to my palm and on my palm, I also found to minimize the possibility of being nipped by folding my fingers down.

But I wanted to ask for advice on where to go from here? I have pet him with one finger and he didn't mind it too much and tried to lift him off the ground slightly while he is in my palm but, I'm worried that if I try too much I will scare him off.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated I just want him to be happy, Thank you!
