Default Hamster Wheel

Hi guys

so we recently bought a female robo hamster from a pet store. The thing is without realizing we bought a small cage which already had a small sized wheel (i think it's 4 inch) but my hamster keep on flipping up side down because she was running very fast. Then i read online and most of them suggested that Robo requires at least 6 inch wheel. So I bought a 6 in standing wheel. Now it's not that bad but still she is flipping out, tripping over, going one full circle upside down all.. is it normal? last time i had a winter white and never had this issue. I'm bit worried if she is going to hurt herself.

Robos are so fast that this does tend to happen and they normally don't suffer any ill effects so as long as she seems fine I would leave the wheel in. It is important she gets the exercise she needs and she is running nice and straight on that wheel.

My Robo does that and he has a similar wheel. He can run perfectly well for ages on an even pace but often he runs so fast and the same thing happens. In fact, he sometimes falls out of the wheel, gets up and does the same thing all over again...on repeat. His wheel is in his sand pit so he has a soft landing.
