Can i use Kids play sand for bath?
hi there im very new to hamster owning, and i used tiny friends sand for my roborovski hamster, but then i read a lot that its actually not a good one, so i went on youtube and a youtube called victoria raechel suggested using childrens play sand, from your local builders yard. i found this one from wickes in the uk, which looks pretty safe, but i just want to check before i use it. It says in the description that it is non toxic which makes me feel like it will be okay, but better safe than sorry, here is the link:

Any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated! Hope this also helps other people looking for a good source of sand for their hamster

That’s fine. Not tried it myself though, some are better quality than others. Can personally vouch for the Argos playsand being good, it’s probably one of the best on the market, it’s entirely dust free and very soft with small grains & my robo likes it. I almost prefer it to actual chinchilla sand but not sure if it washes their coat quite as effectively.
