Thanks for the tip, they don't seem that interested anyway so I'll take it out. I'm struggling a bit with toys for them! I don't want too many climbing toys to try and avoid them fighting, as I know levels can be an issue.. They both just seem to love the wheel and nothing else!

Re: Rhubarb and Crumble
Aww, I absolutely love Rhubarb's latest photos! They are all excellent and very sweet. I especially love her expression in the second photo from the top where she is debating whether or not to eat the treat and the second from the bottom where you can see all the details of her fur coloration so clearly and detailed from the side view. I'm glad that you were able to resize them as they are such lovely pics. I'm glad that taming is going so well.

Re: Rhubarb and Crumble
I was curious last night when taking out the rope toy and switched the wheels round to see if they’d favour the same one. It turns out one of the wheels is stiff, only the larger hamster Crumble can move it and even then she seems to struggle. I tried oiling it but it hasn’t helped. I didn’t realise as I could turn it with my hand- it felt a bit stiffer but I’ve had Syrians with wheels like that and they got on fine but they really are so wee it makes sense the slight resistance would bother them. So they’ve basically had one wheel between two! I’ve immediately ordered a new one as well as a flying saucer (I think that would be cute to try!) so maybe they can both go for a run without having to try and keep up with each other. I’m glad this hasn’t caused a fight with them. Amazon says it will come
Tomorrow but as it’s a Sunday tomorrow I think more like Monday, so I’m going to wait to do a clean out. Maybe there will be cute pics of them on the saucer! It will be interesting to see if they start running desperate or stay running together on the wheels

Re: Rhubarb and Crumble
How cute I love robo pairs they act so sweetly together.
Be interesting to see what they make of the saucer, robos usually love them!

Re: Rhubarb and Crumble
All my robos have loved their wooden wheels from zooplus. Maple robo has a flying saucer as well which she seems to really like.

Yeah it was the wooden ones from zooplus I got, but unfortunately they can’t use one of them I ordered a replacement from amazon as I really don’t want to wait for the zooplus ship. I really hope they love the flying saucer! I’ve never had one for a hamster.

Re: Rhubarb and Crumble
I'm sorry that one of their wheels was not moving as easily, but it is a good thing that you noticed it and their hasn't been any disputes concerning it. Rhubarb and Crumble really are sweethearts. I look forward to seeing how they enjoy their next wheel and their flying saucer. It will be wonderful to see them running and enjoying themselves on their new toys. I look forward to seeing their pics on the flying saucer, too.

Re: Rhubarb and Crumble
The wheel came and they can run on both now they still like to run together but they seem to switch between the two!
I have a problem/need advice about the flying saucer. I bought the 30cm trixie one and I think I made a mistake- it’s so big. I don’t think they can use it, they haven’t used it. What size would be recommended for a pair of robos? What brand is most reliable? I can return this on in the next few weeks. Unless 30cm is the right size and they’re just not sure? What does everyone else have?

Re: Rhubarb and Crumble
Maple robo has a rather fetching purple flying saucer wheel. It is 5 inches or 13 cm so quite small.
Here she is in her old cage (the grosvenor) with the two wheels
