Re: Chocho the robo
She’s so cute! Robos have such great little personalities
Hopefully your detolf will be okay now its siliconed and cushioned! Is it the glass that’s cracked? Maybe you could line the cage with thick cardboard or a hemp mat to stop her chewing the silicone and possibly injuring herself?

Re: Chocho the robo
Glad you like the photos! Now if only I could get one where she isn’t eating something lol!

Good point - I siliconed the glass crack then siliconed a glass detolf shelf over it so it seems alright. She has never burrowed to the base of the cage nor does she have any interest in chewing things that aren’t whimzees so I don’t think it’ll be an issue... cardboard over the area is a good idea though so I might try that.

Re: Chocho the robo
Oh, my!!!! Chocho is total cuteness overload; I can't help smiling from ear to ear as I see her in all of her gorgeous and adorable pics. Those photos with her munching on her favorite goodies just make me ooh and aww and giggle with utter happiness. She is a true beauty and absolutely stunning. I love her priceless expressions, too. You are an awesome and truly talented photographer to get such incredible pics of a robo, too; CONGRATS!!! Btw, I totally love Choco's jaw-dropping cage setup; no wonder she is having such a ball playing in her gigantic, dream home. She truly is one happy ham.

Re: Chocho the robo
Continuing the detolf horror stories:
Today my boyfriend told me he saw Chocho climbing through the gap between a vertical bar and the glass - turns out one of the bars has bent slightly allowing her to squeeze through..! No idea how or why since the detolf hasn't moved since it was set up here. I'd always thought there was no way an adult robo could fit through the gap, and Chocho isn't small by any means. I'd hate to think what would happen if one got stuck. Definitely means baby or small robos could fit through the normal sized gap, I'd imagine smaller chinese hams can too.
This is my fix but I really do urge everyone to do something similar with dwarf hams. This is definitely the last time I go about recommending the detolf lol.

Re: Chocho the robo
Glad the problem was spotted & you've managed a fix, hope all will be ok with the detolf now, it's such a lovely set up for her it would be a real shame if you had any more problems, fingers crossed!

Re: Chocho the robo
Thank goodness your boyfriend spotted it, the mischief Chocho might have caused if she'd been successful.

Re: Chocho the robo
I'm so relieved that you were able to fix the problem with Choco's magnificent detolf cage. I'll keep my fingers crossed that there will be no more issues with it. Choco really does have an absolutely amazing setup, so natural with so much enrichment to keep her thoroughly entertained.

Re: Chocho the robo
Hi
I loved your set up so much I asked for a Detolf for Christmas ... should I write Santa back and tell him I've changed my mind? I was really looking forward to it.
