Re: Chocho the robo
Thank you cypher & cherubble. The log is from zoo-bio. If you're looking to do a bigger order I really recommend them. Lots of more natural pieces at a good price. The cork tunnels aren't enormous either which is better for dwarves and they sell Bunny dwarf hamster dream expert as a bonus! The majority of my setup is probably from there actually.
This will be little one's setup from now. She seems to really like it and makes full use of it which is lovely to see. Sorry the lighting is a bit strange!

Just love it
I'm not surprised she likes it & makes full use of it.

Re: Chocho the robo
This is an amazing setup Mangoandmini ... you may have already mentioned this somewhere but is this a custom made cage and what would the size be?

It's an Ikea Detolf on its back so nothing fancy The internal dimensions are 155x39cm I believe.

Re: Chocho the robo
Thanks .. I always wondered what was meant when someone wrote "a Detolf" and now I know! Does the "lid" have holes or vents in it?

You need to part assemble the detolf (ie without the glass front door) then create your own lid - it's definitely necessary if you plan on having enough bedding in there. I added photos of my rather messy DIY job to give you an idea. It sits on the bars on the inside but there are other ways to do this too.
Just a note is also a hole in one of the wooden panels. I used a metal flat blanking plate to block it but again, there are neater ways to do this.

Re: Chocho the robo
Thank-you very much .. those new pics explain it all. I just checked and in Canada a Detolf is only 59.95 Cdn$. That's a very reasonable price for a home like this! At 163cm by 43cm by 37cm Theodore would have lots of room to play. You've given me something to think about - thanks again
