wheel dilemma
Hello everyone!
I have been doing my research on things I should get, do and not do when adopting your first Robo hamster.
I have a wheel question, in which I have not found here in the forums.
The question is: Would a Trixie Wooden Exercise Wheel 28cm in diameter be too big for a Robo Hamster?
All I could find in my research is that the min wheel size for a Robo would be around 8' inches.
Thank you so much for your help, I want that when the little fella arrives he/she can have the best time.

Re: wheel dilemma
It should be fine, they don't really need one quite that big but a robo shouldn't have any trouble running in a wheel that size.

Re: wheel dilemma
My Robo can use a 6.5” wheel but he seems to prefer his flying saucer. Personally I wouldn’t want to go too big with a wheel for a Robo as some night find them difficult to use.
I use a 20cm Trixie wheel for most of my Chinese and I’ve been reasonably happy with those. They’re pretty reasonably priced and are easy to clean, which I think is important. I’ve not found them to be noisy either although one developed a squeak but we were able to put a little oil on it and it seems to have sorted the problem.
