Meet Murphy
I unexpectedly got given a robo hamster Friday 13th. An adoption ham who had to be separated due to fighting ( not sure if he was bullied or bullying),
I need to ask more about him next time i’m In the pet shop.
With him being my first robo. I may have a lot of questions. He is in a bin cage, but may be moved to something bigger. Maybe a tank or reptile enclosure with front doors. Or even a barred cage if there is one with small enough bar spacing.
He has been handled briefly and sniffs me sometimes. He is sometimes skittish, but I expected this, so I’m not worried. He is so small I can’thear Him running on his wheel.
Photo to be added once I can reduce the file size.

re: Meet Murphy
Congratulations on your new roborovski. I love them. I love tank cages for them, such good viewing. One of mine is in a bar cage and I see her far less the the two in a glass tank. Mind you she is ever so shy.
Look forward to seeing pics.

re: Meet Murphy
I may get a vivarium, so the front has doors for easier access. But on the down side it would make escape easier.

Short playpen video as he just sat in his wheel. Must be camera shy.

re: Meet Murphy
Must be Robo month lol! Me and Fluffagrams as well with Robos this month. How old is he? Just wondering because when I picked up Nugget his former Mum said her robos just sat in their wheels as well. I was wondering if they don't learn to run in them till they're a bit older or something. Or maybe he's just dazed He's lovely - he looks like a Husky Robo too (now I know what a Husky Robo is).

re: Meet Murphy
He likes playpen time, although most time he is on his wheel. He is about 18 weeks old, but I would like to compare him to other robots.
He had a little handling session and did ok.

re: Meet Murphy
Congrats on giving your new robo such an amazing, loving home with you. This past Friday the 13th was truly a lucky one for you both. He is so cute in the video and is so, SO tiny. I look forward to seeing pics whenever you get a chance and hearing more about your special little guy, too. I'm glad that the handling session went well. Have fun and give the little one a cuddle from me, too.

re: Meet Murphy
Thank you. It will be a while before a cuddle is accepted. He will go hand to hand a bit, but can also jump of/make a quick dash for freedom. I’m worried he will fall or get loose. There are so many places he could hide. It would be very hard to find him.
I have had his wheel on my bed with my legs making a circle to try and get him to climb over my hand when getting off or on his wheel. This has been working ok.
He will sometimes climb on my hand in the playpen to get on his wheel, but it takes some time. He doesn’t take food from me yet and even leaving treats or food near him is ignored.
He is a wheelaholic. Lol
