Re: Nugget's thread
Oh dear Nugget doesn't sound impressed!
Hopefully he moves back into his house soon, under the wheel doesn't sound too comfortable!

Re: Nugget's thread
Ha ha - well he has built a nice big fluffy mound in front of, to the side off and under the wheel and has a little tunnel entrance.

Re: Nugget's thread
Bless little Nugget, you've gone and upset him. I hope he gives the potty another go. When you emptied it, did you clean it too?

Re: Nugget's thread
Nugget is now much happier and out and about a bit more since I tweaked his cage after his ladder problems. I put the cork log back in as a ramp instead which meant moving his coconut house and his rainbow bridge. So his rainbow bridge is now between the entrance of the house and the submerged carrot house - he likes that I little tunnel between them.
This afternoon he was out running on his saucer, rolling in his sand bath and scratching the inside of the cork log - and is now living in the house again (but still has his emergency nest under the wheel ).
He has seemed keen to come out a couple of times recently but still runs away and hides if I try and tempt him out - I will keep persisting but not just now while he's enjoying his changes - he gets so stressed if I try and catch him in something and is too fast to pick up.

Re: Nugget's thread
It's been very interesting to read your other thread about Nugget's determination to attract your attention to a problem he had! So good to read that as a result he is a happy busy little fellow in his altered setup. It's lovely to watch a robo being busy.

Re: Nugget's thread
Thank you Coco - Robo communication is new to me TL - sorry I have only just seen your last post! I don't think I cleaned the toilet that time, but can't remember. I just replaced the sand in his sand bath and he seemed to like that, hence having a good roll - so probably more about the potty being in his house (ie interfering with his house) than having the sand changed.

Re: Nugget's thread
Nugget has just turned 18 months old. He is starting to look a little older and his fur on his back has gone darker and brown. After a few failed attempts to get him out of the cage over the last couple of months, I got him out today and he had a good long time in the playpen and some taming. I can actually hold him now and he sits in my hand for a stroke on the back. Maybe he has got more mellow in his old age, but he still doesn't like being picked up and still won't walk onto a hand.
He doesn't seem so good at climbing now so have lowered his shelf in his cage and put a shallower ramp in. He was quite active in the playpen, running on his saucer and exploring everything, running through the large tube and trying to chew his way out of a corner.
He does seem to have a little lump of some kind underneath but couldnt tell properly and no idea what robo boy bits are like. Another lumpy bit turned out to be loose skin.
Anyway I will leave spot cleaning his house till another time so as not to put him off coming out again.
Here he is

Re: Nugget's thread
Lovely to see Nugget in so many close ups. Is he cleaning his foot in the second one? He looks so cute. Ageing gracefully though and good you can handle and stroke him a little. Quite an achievement with a robo.

Re: Nugget's thread
Thank you Coco. I'm not sure what he was doing He was sitting having a wash so maybe he was cleaning a foot! Unfortunately didn't get a photo of him sitting on my hand as I needed both hands. So - 18 months of talking and now I can hold him.
