Re: Nugget's thread
Thank you all. mangoandmimi - the house is from Rodipet - they make labyrinth houses in different sizes for the different species and the roofs lift off. Trixie also make the Leif labyrinth house The rodipet ones are a bit expensive - but they make a whole range of different houses that are very good. On the other hand, a shoe box also makes a good house with a lift off roof if you cut the base out and cut a hole for a door

Re: Nugget's thread
Haha he looks so adorable trying to figure out what just happened! I bet he loves the new house. Love the picture where he's running on the saucer, just a blur! He is one really fast hamster!

Re: Nugget's thread
Thank you Razor. Poor Nugget - had a visitor today to see both the hamsters and their routines/set ups (pet sitter who is coming in to feed them when we go on holiday in a couple of weeks). I lifted the lid of his house and he got very scared and ran out and hid behind his wheel. Hope he hasn't abandoned it now. Anyway at least the pet sitter knows what to expect as she hadn't seen a robo before and I did say she might not see him at all while we're away!

Re: Nugget's thread
Poor Nugget having his lovely roof taken off so unexpectedly; bless him. I'm sure he thought it was the perfect, secret hideout, lol. I'm sure he won't abandon his very special home since he apparently loves it so much. He may even realized that you were just showing his cuteness to the pet sitter and instructing him/her concerning his care regiment. I hope that you and your family have a wonderful vacation and enjoy yourselves tremendously.

Re: Nugget's thread
Aww poor Nugget! It must have been a bit of a shock for him but I'm sure he'll get over it quickly enough, the house is way to nice to abandon now!

Re: Nugget's thread
Poor Nugget, that must have been a bit of a fright having the roof lifted of his house. I hope he has forgiven you and will settle back down inside his lovely house!

Re: Nugget's thread
Poor Nugget, what a fright he got but he should be back inside his lovely house by now.
I didn't see Loki at all the first time she stayed with me although that changed on later visits. Of course the house smells were new too. I remember that when her Mum came back and called her rustling the fitch, that little nose came out at once to check and to see her! They are such funny little things!

Re: Nugget's thread
Glad to hear Nugget is enjoying his new house I love when they come over to inspect what's going on I just have to clean Feliks's toilet and he has to check the whole cage and everything in it to make sure nothing else has been touched
