Sad to say that my lovely little Kashi is nearing the end of her time. She is out of her nest and is just laying down with her eyes closed. She looks peaceful and is still breathing but I feel that it won't be long now. Bless her. She has been such a joyful eager little hamster.

I think that she is almost two although I don't know her exact age.

This morning I went down to check her and ... she is TOTALLY FINE. Yes she is a little bit tottery but is looking around her cage and coming to the bars for food. I am SOOOOO relieved. Perhaps she has had a minor stroke or something.

She is now in the hamster heaven (what a great cage). I moved all her stuff and refreshed her (massive) food stash. She is still exploring and it is just so great to see her alive and well. I feel like I have got a new pet. This is such a happy day!

What a relief ff. You may need to make some changes to help her reach things more easily but I am not surprised you feel so happy!

It's great Kashi is up and about again. Perhaps she had a little cold or something.

Thank you cypher coco and ruth. She has everything on one level now with two water bowls in case of spillage.

She is such a pretty little hamster and quite feisty. My little chocolate sweetheart x
