Default Robo taming pointers?

Hi all,

It's been a week and a half since I brought home my first hamster, and all the information given here on this forum has been massively helpful. My robo seems very active and is eating and drinking well, so I've started taking her out to hand feed and interact since day 6 or so. I just had a couple questions since I'm not entirely sure where I'm at or if I might be jumping ahead a tad fast. I apologize in advance for the lengthy read, but I wanted to provide a good amount of info.

Regarding taming, she takes treats from my open fingertips and curiously waddles around the taming tub. Without treats, she sniffs and occasionally nips, but never seems too bothered about my hand. She's been this confident and curious since the first session, and only starts getting restless when she wants to head back. This aspect has been really encouraging, since I was prepared to strap in for the long haul of taming a robo.

However, she only comes out after the room is completely dark (midnight or so). Even after she's out in the dark, all she does is run in her wheel for hours, ignoring the treat-baited cup used to take her into the tub. If I wait for her to stop running and start playing with her other toys, she jumps back in the wheel or burrows into a corner as soon as I come near her cage. The few times I've been able to get her inside the cup have almost been by accident; I do something like sieve her sand bath or rearrange her log tunnel around 6am, she stares, I bring the cup in just in case, and she happily hops inside. Because I can't consistently take her out every day, I'm not comfortable with advancing in her taming even though she's doing so well. I was under the impression that settled hamsters do pop out during the afternoon to eat, drink, or investigate, so ideally I'd like to tame her when she starts coming out on her own terms on a daily basis.

I know a week and a half is still a very short time for adjustment, but the relatively docile taming sessions are giving me mixed messages. Is she comfortable with the room she's in, and just has a weird schedule? Or should I be waiting until she starts coming out more and doesn't run in her wheel at the first sight of me?

Thanks for reading, I really appreciate all advice!
