Re: Meet Koppiáge- my first ever non-Syrian
It is definitely very exciting! Tonight Kopi allowed me to photograph her while being handled When I went into getting a robo, I was under the impression they'd be a whirlwind of a rodent, but Kopi has pleasantly surprised me
Here she is allowing me to hold her (Please excuse the nasty drain in the background)
And here she is hanging around in a can
I added some more toys and tunnels into her bin so that she has some more things to keep her entertained

So cute! Robos are so much fun to watch. Kopi looks to be the same color as my Cress! Such a huge difference in size from Syrians. I marvel at the difference whenever I watch them!

AWWWW. Drago you're very lucky! Kopi is such a beautiful ham! And it's impressive how good the taming process is going!

Emojimom
Cress and Kopi do look quite similar don't they? Perhaps long lost siblings
BorisPasha, cypher, & SKB
Kopi says thank you for all the compliments on her! I'm really happy with taming, she is more work confidence wise, but is a breeze compared to what expected of a robo
Hamsterita & Thin Lizzy
I really am lucky to have such a sweet little one I too love the whiskers on robos. The white around their mouths and the "eyebrows" agoutis have make them look a bit like crotchety old men
AprilPearl & Jennie F
I see little Kopi has a fan club! AP, you should certainly look into a robo down the road. Kopi waves to Khali and Mushu
Sorry everyone, I meant to keep this thread better updated, but I'm no good with responsibilities lol! Tonight I realized Kopi might need a nail trimming? Some more experienced dwarf owners, any thoughts? You can see her nails in the photo below
Please note that I always keep a towel down, I moved it only for the photos as the crazy little thing was hiding in the folds!
Tonight Kopi sat contently on my hand to groom and have a quick snack. This was the longest she's ever sat on me!
In some other news, I purchased a wodent wheel jr for Kopi, but I may end up giving it to some (possible) new special additions....
Mice! Local ads have gotten me yet again. Now I do want to make it clear as I have had many new additions as of late, I 100% can handle every creature that comes into my home. I'd never take on an animal I couldn't offer proper care, and then offer even more than that. All of my animals have cages that exceed the bare minimums for their species and are natural and very meticulously planned out. I have thousands of dollars in my vet fund just in case (though god forbid) anything goes wrong. Some people say I'm a hoarder (which is probably true ) but I think what defines a hoarder is taking on way more animals than you can handle, and offering them barely humane conditions. Sorry for the rant lol
Either way, I plan to probably upgrade Kopi around December. Here in the US, we're lucky enough to get the lovely IRIS bin in stock then. Although the detolf does look as though it could make a lovely home for a robo... too many options. I'll just see how everything plays out!
Hope you're all having a wonderful week
