Lightbulb My new girls

Thank you all who answered my other post. I had to separate my girls his morning. I saw some paws up fighting, and from what I read, I figured it was playing or figuring out dominance. I also was trying to figure out who was who, so I kept note of who did what and when. Venus is more adventurous, she comes out and stays out when people talk, when she does run away, she is the first one out, and she wakes earlier in the night, she is up 8-8:30pm. Aphrodite is smaller and more shy. She comes out only when she knows it's alright. Trying to catch her is not something I can do easily right now, hopefully taming will not be too hard, I don't mind taking my time, but if she never comes out that would disappoint me. (Though I would be fine) Aphrodite she wakes later closer to 9pm and stays awake longer. I noticed that she never left her wheel when Venus was around, so I was watching that too, to make sure she wasn't too tired, hungry or thirsty. I kept an eye out for ball fighting, and I saw some today, so I got out my diy bin cage and separated the girls.

Venus seems to pretty happy in the bin, and Aphrodite has moved around her tank more than I have ever seen. I think she will be really happy having her own space. I used lots of the old (from Saturday, when I got the girls) paper shavings in the in, so even though it has Aphrodite's smell, it has Venus' and I hope that they get used to being separate quickly.

Should I hold off taming (I have only changed water fed and cleaned sand bath) for another week or so, since they are now separate? Or start with treats this weekend since Venus is out going and Aphrodite is in the original tank?

Thanks again for your help before!

I think they will be fine to try some taming by the weekend, a day or two to settle should be enough, just go slowly & don't rush things, they both sound as though they are happier already so fingers crossed taming will go well with both!

You've acted fast and done the right thing. Now both girls have their own space, their confidence will grow.
A few days to settle and start slowly with the taming.
